About Joyce

Joyce Grant is a subject-matter expert in misinformation, algorithms and journalism for young people. Her books help young people understand complicated and sophisticated topics that affect them and how to think critically about what they see and read online.

She is an award-winning children’s author with seven books. She is a freelance journalist and editor and a book coach. And she gives exciting and engaging presentations.

Since 2010 she has made the news accessible for kids through her award-winning website TeachingKidsNews.com and its award-winning adjunct, “One Good Thing.”

Joyce holds a Master’s degree in Creative and Critical Writing as well as a journalism degree. In 2023 she won international recognition for her presentations and work helping young people understand journalism and misinformation.
