Gabby won the Rainforest of Reading Award in Nov. 2015 (Montserrat). It was also nominated in 2014 (in St. Lucia and Grenada).

After a very successful Rainforest author tour in the Caribbean in 2014, illustrator Jan Dolby and I were asked back, to present to the children in Montserrat.

We presented to more than 9,000 children over just six presentation days: in a stadium, in classrooms, in meeting halls and even from tents along the street.

Thousands of children dressed up like Gabby, and classes represented the book in parades (see videos).
